2015 Butterfly Release Memorial Event 

Chesapeake Highlands and Calvert Hospice will host the third Butterfly Release celebrating the memory of loved ones with an event scheduled for Sept. 20, 2015.  The event begins promptly at 2:00 P.M. with the program concluding at 4:00 P.M. at Chesapeake Highlands Memorial Gardens located at 3270 Broomes Island Road in Port Republic.  "This event embraces and honors the connections we make in life that don't end with the death of a loved one, said Brenda Laughhunn, Executive Director of Calvert Hospice. 

Individuals and families wishing to participate can purchase a butterfly in the name of a loved one.  Included with the donation is a personalized acknowledgement card sent to a designated recipient.  To honor the names(s) of a loved one(s), please visit www.calverthospice.org or call 410-535-0892 and request a Butterfly Release registration form. 

The event will include live music, light refreshments, and the reading of each name being honored.  The ceremony concludes with the release of Monarch butterflies.
